Beyond the storm

It Doesn’t Stay Wet Forever

Rain has a way of making everything feel heavy. The sky turns dark, the roads flood, the mud sticks to your boots, and for a while it feels like the storm will never end. But here’s the thing about rain, it never leaves the ground wet forever.

The sun always finds its way back. The wind begins to move. The puddles shrink. The mud hardens. What looked hopeless yesterday becomes just another memory tomorrow.

Life works the same way.

We all walk through storms. Some are quick showers that inconvenience us for a day. Others feel like hurricanes that rip apart everything we’ve built. We lose people we love. We carry heartbreak, failure, regret, anxiety, and battles nobody else can see. Sometimes we wonder if this is just how life is going to be from now on.

But it isn’t.

Pain has a season. Grief has a season. Struggle has a season. That doesn’t mean they aren’t real. It doesn’t mean they won’t leave scars. It simply means they don’t get the final word.

Just because today feels soaked in disappointment doesn’t mean tomorrow won’t bring dry ground. Keep putting one foot in front of the other, even if every step feels heavy. Keep believing, even when the clouds refuse to move. The storm may have your attention today, but it doesn’t own your future.

God never promised we’d never see rain. He promised He’d be with us through it. While you’re focused on the storm, He’s already preparing the sunrise. The rain may water your tears today, but it can also grow your faith for tomorrow.

So don’t build your life around today’s weather. Storms pass. The clouds break. The sun rises again.

And just like the ground doesn’t stay wet forever…

Neither will your soul.
